Group Email

Setup

Group Email sends Space-wide alert notifications to a shared group or mailing-list email address, independently of each member's personal email notification settings.

Prerequisites

• A Netdata Cloud account
• Access to the Space as an Admin
• The Space needs to be on a paid plan
• Access to the mailbox of the group or mailing-list address, in order to retrieve the verification token

Netdata Configuration

1. Click on the Space settings cog (located above your profile icon)
2. Click on the Alerts & Notifications tab
3. Click on the + Add configuration button
4. Add the Group Email Integration
5. A modal will be presented to you to enter the required details to enable the integration:
   • Notification settings
     • Configuration name (optional): A name for your configuration to easily refer to it
     • Rooms: A list of Rooms for which you want to be notified
     • Notifications: The notification types you want to receive
   • Integration configuration
     • Email address: The group or mailing-list address that will receive the notifications
   • Verification
     • Token: The token from the latest Test notification email received on the group email address.
       • Click on the Test button to send a test email to the address you entered. The verification token is embedded in that email; copy it back into the modal to verify the address.
